Library

The Library, of Sanjo College of Nursing, has an array of good collection of books. Faculty and students utilises library services for research and teaching purposes. Therefore, library is rightly regarded as the heart of our college. Extensive collection of books is made available to help the students in their learning process. Students have to follow all the rules of the library.

GENERAL RULES OF LIBRARY

Students should maintain strict silence in the library and they should produce their membership card for taking books outside the library. Eatables are strictly prohibited in the library. Bags, Personal text books and Coats are not allowed inside the library. Students need to obtain ‘no due certificate’ from the librarian prior to the university exam each year. Put the chairs back in the proper position after use. Since the electric power is precious, switch off the fans and lights after use. Do not replace the referral books back to the rack after use. Please keep the referral books on the table itself. Mobile phones are not allowed in the library. Students are expected to be in the library during the library hours.

SMART CLASS ROOMS AND Wi-Fi CAMPUS

Smart Class rooms are arranged with interactive panel board with Wi-Fi connection and other forms of audio and visual aids. The campus is Wi-Fi enabled with high-speed Internet connection. This facilitates students, research scholars and staff members to access Internet across the campus.

Multipurpose Hall /Examination Hall

The college has a fully furnished conference hall with single seats and with necessary electronic equipments. The students make use of this for various gatherings, festivals, celebrations etc. The digitally equipped Hall is well arranged also to suit the examination requisites of the University.

LABS

Nursing Foundation Lab

The basic nursing skills are taught and learned in this lab. It provides facilities similar to an ideal patient unit. The students get ample opportunities to develop the skills and gain confidence before they start the actual practice in the hospital.

Pre-Clinical Science Lab

A pre-clinical science lab is a controlled educational environment where students and researchers study fundamental biomedical sciences before clinical training. It typically includes equipment and models for learning anatomy, physiology, microbiology, biochemistry, and pharmacology.

Computer Lab

Computers play a vital role in the day-to-day operations of hospitals. From maintaining patient records to scheduling appointments, computers help Nurses work more efficiently and effectively. In addition, computers can also be used to monitor patients’ vital signs.
Hence Sanjo has well equipped Computer Lab with latest Computers and has made available broadband internet facility for the students. Sanjo uses a wide range of instructional techniques to equip the students to develop latest concept of requisite skills and abilities.

Anatomy Lab -Pre-clinical Science Lab

The students learn anatomy in order to give care with a scientific base. This lab facilitates them to learn human structure – the size, shape, location and histology of various organs in the body by means of charts, models, skeleton, specimens etc. First aid for burns, CPR, First aid for emergency such as fracture, drowning, wounds, poisons, bites etc, various types of bandaging are also practised in this lab.

Nutrition Lab

Therapeutic diet is as important as medicine and care for any patient. The students utilize this laboratory to learn the art of selecting, storing, preparing and serving diet for healthy people and the sick by the modification according to various disease conditions.

OB & G Nursing Lab

The Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB & G) Nursing Lab is a specialized facility designed to train nursing students in maternal and women’s health care. It provides hands-on experience in caring for women during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum, as well as managing gynecological conditions.

Advanced Nursing Lab

Child Health Nursing Lab

The Child Health Nursing Lab is a dedicated space where nursing students learn to provide comprehensive care to infants, children, and adolescents. Equipped with pediatric mannequins, growth and development assessment tools, and simulation equipment, the lab allows students to practice skills such as pediatric assessments, immunization techniques, and emergency care.

Community Health Nursing Lab

The Community Health Nursing Lab is a simulated environment designed to train nursing students in delivering healthcare services to individuals, families, and communities. It is equipped with models, charts, and tools used for health education, home care, and community-based assessments.

Hostel

The hostel provides excellent living rooms, recreation facilities, spiritual guidance, sanitary and drinking water facilities. The diocese directly manages the hostel and controlled by responsible wardens.

CHAPEL

Sanjo visualises spiritual development and spiritual guidance for its students. In the College Chapel students can attend daily holy Mass and other spiritual activities.

INFIRMARY

Infirmary inside the campus offers first aid and treatment to the students and staff

CANTEEN

The canteen functioning inside the campus offers food items at affordable rate to students, staffs and visitors.

STORE

The college store has almost all the items the students may need in the college.

COMMON ROOMS FOR BOYS AND GIRLS

This anti ragging campus has separate common rooms for boys and girls Room remains open till 4 pm for the convenience of the students.

SERENE AND ECO-FRIENDLY CAMPUS

The eco-friendly campus of Sanjo is surrounded by greenery with beautiful garden and plants. The serene atmosphere of the campus is suitable for learning. Sanjo has its own play ground and area for recreational facilities. Students are initiated into Yoga practice and meditation as well. Sanjo has adequate parking facility for students, staff and guests separately.
